In the next eight hours, the Shelby County GOP is going to vote on whether or not the largest county in Tennessee should hold partisan elections for school boards. The Memphis Public library event (screenshot) giving away copies of Gender Queer has been shared by a former Democratic backed school board candidate who ran for a suburban school board position this past year.
This occurrence shows exactly why we can not allow people to be elected to positions of power over our children without knowing what they truly stand for or against.
It is clear that many elected officials and several members of the old guard within the Shelby County GOP are not willing to stand up for our children.
Therefore, it is official position of Conservative Christians of Tennessee that any county party leadership not willing to stand against open debauchery and trans-indoctrination has become too week to lead our community and should be purposefully replaced with God fearing leadership.
Christians can no longer sit back and pretend that this is 1984, and the school boards are honestly working for the betterment of our Children.
In 2022 we saw openly trans-affirming candidates running for the school board positions in the municipalities of Shelby County. This open desire to take the seat of power over our children should be met with the biblical response of righteous judgment (John 7:24) and a demand that parents require morally upright leadership over their children.
UPDATE:
Due to public outrage online, the Library has since pulled the event from their schedule. It is still available to view here on this internet archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20230907153411/https://memphislibrary.evanced.info/signup/EventDetails?EventId=67222&backTo=Calendar&startDate=2023/10/01
