We started CCOT because we saw a need — Christians in Tennessee who wanted to engage their culture but didn't know where to start. The news is overwhelming. The issues are complex. And too often, the church has been silent when it should have been speaking.
Silence is no longer an option. The principles of Christian governance, the defense of innocent life, and the proclamation of God's truth are not optional add-ons to the faith — they are the outworking of it. We are here to help you navigate those issues with confidence and clarity.

Conservative Christians of Tennessee (CCOT) helps ministries, politicians, and churches navigate real issues through a Conservative Christian roadmap — applying biblical principles to civic life and protecting the values that have shaped Tennessee families for generations.
We believe Christians are called to be salt and light — not just in the church pew, but in the public square. We are an advocacy, education, and discipleship organization working outside any denominational or political party platform.
The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our ultimate authority for faith and life
Human life is sacred from conception to natural death
Marriage is the lifelong covenant between one man and one woman
Parents have the God-given right and responsibility to direct their children's education
Religious liberty is foundational to all other freedoms
Government derives its just authority from God and must be held accountable to biblical standards
The local church is central to community transformation
CCOT advocates and educates across the volunteer state with Faith In Action, discipleship focused events, and legislative engagement. CCOT connects believers with the information and tools they need to live out their faith in every area of life.
We partner with like-minded organizations and local church bodies to amplify the Gospel and strengthen the body of Christ statewide.
We believe that in every sphere of life and every grand region of Tennessee, the Lord has dominion.

Matthew Nowlin is the founder of Conservative Christians of Tennessee. Since 2019 he has worked to inform and engage Tennesseans on public policy and cultural issues from a biblical Christian worldview.
