Newsom vetoes California abortion bill amid 2028 speculation
California’s Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom has vetoed a bill that would have required the governor to decline extradition requests for those who perform or assist in the performance of abortions and gender transition surgeries in states where the procedures are banned as the outgoing governor continues to be seen as a prospective presidential candidate.
