Conservationists protect 638 acres near Smokies in 'legacy-scale project'
Foothills Land Conservancy has completed the acquisition of the 638-acre Oliver Tract near Townsend and Cades Cove, preserving forestland, wildlife habitat and scenic mountain views with plans to eventually transfer the property to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
