SUNDAY SHOW OMISSIONS: France Riots, Ilhan Omar, Elissa Slotkin
With the midterm election just over two weeks away, the Elitist Media’s Sunday shows were focused on helping push Democrats across the finish line. As a result, and perhaps in furtherance of the aforementioned efforts, several important stories were omitted from these broadcasts. The ongoing riots in France received no mention on CBS, NBC, or CNN’s political affairs shows but drew a mention on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos. Below is that brief in its entirety: The sole Elitist Media Sunday Show mention of the French riots: a throwaway segment on @ThisWeekABC that appears to have been put together before the historic Limoges City Hall burned down.MARTHA RADDATZ: Before we go this Sunday, a look at the remarkable scene playing out… pic.twitter.com/x6Le0LLLjz— Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) October 19, 2026 MARTHA RADDATZ: Before we go this Sunday, a look at the remarkable scene playing out overseas in France. Anger there over the cost of living. Tens of thousands taking to the streets. Marcus Moore reports from Paris.MARCUS MOORE: Hundreds of thousands taking to the streets across France this week. A protest that started with high school students now spiraling to more general concerns about the cost of living, and France's future. Saturday, the most violent day with hundreds of demonstrators and police officers injured. Police clashing with protesters using tear gas and stun grenades. President Emmanuel Macron, defending the right to protest and calling for calm but saying vandals and looters will be punished. All the while, calls for change are growing louder. MOORE: Do you feel like you are making a difference?PROTESTER: We are making a difference because we are a large group of people. We are like so many in the streets and so the government can't say that they don't see us because we are here.RADDATZ: Our thanks to Marcus Moore, That’s all for us today. The video package appeared to have been put together well in advance of Saturday’s riots across the country, wherein many businesses were looted and historic buildings burned- including the Limoges City Hall. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), one of which began during the Biden administration. The latest update involves a dumpster dive for DNS evidence. Per NewsNation’s Leland Vittert:Federal agents collected garbage in hopes of obtaining the DNA of U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar and her family before this week’s raid at the Minnesota Democrat’s home in Washington, D.C., sources tell NewsNation.Investigators historically have used secretive “dumpster diving” to obtain DNA or other evidence when search warrants were not possible or would have tipped off investigatory targets. It is legal for law enforcement to collect trash that has been discarded for pickup and comb through it for genetic material.Multiple sources familiar with the probe tell NewsNation that potential DNA evidence is critical to the investigation into Omar. They say the case is broader than the public may assume based on longstanding accusations surrounding her immigration history and marital status.Where there’s smoke there may be fire, but the Elitist Media’s Sunday shows are pretending nothing happened. Compare this to the ton of coverage drawn by the investigation and prosecution of former U.S. Rep. George Santos (R-NY), who was an A-block story for a good period of time. As we learned with former U.S. Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, Democrat legal woes don’t get reported until they are no longer politically damaging. We’ll see if this trend continues with Omar. Finally, there is U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and her call for prosecutions of Trump staffers in order to deter young conservatives from getting into government: SAYING THE QUIET PART OUT LOUD: Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) threatens to persecute the Trump Admin to the point of terrifying young conservatives out of working for the government. So much affordability. pic.twitter.com/gr1T0eHPeY— Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) October 18, 2026 For all the howling about a Trump retribution agenda, and all the rent garments about weaponized government, there isn’t a single peep about a prominent elected Democrat openly talking about targeted prosecutions of their political opposition. Such a story would betray to viewers that the left has an agenda beyond “affordability,” both in 2026 and beyond. In the meantime, viewers of the Elitist Media’s Sunday shows are treated to more anti-news as relevant news continues to be hidden. We are reminded, yet again, of the wise words of Iowahawk: Journalism is about covering important stories. With a pillow, until they stop moving.— David Burge (@iowahawkblog) May 9, 2013
