Burnham Becomes New UK Prime Minister
Andy Burnham has become the United Kingdom’s new prime minister, the seventh one in the last decade.
Delivering his first speech as prime minister, Burnham pledged to create a “new political model and a new economic model.” He declared that changing politics entails making it “more collaborative, more about problem solving than point scoring,” adding that doing so will “build a new economy where we put life’s essentials back under stronger public control to make them affordable to you again.”
“Later this year, I will bring forward a new plan for Britain, a 10-year plan, laying out a path from where we are now to where I believe we all want Britain to be, wherever we’re coming from, whatever party we support,” Burnham further added.
Ahead of Burnham’s takeover, President Trump wrote on Truth Social that those in Aberdeen, Scotland, are “dancing in the streets because the new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, has stated that he will be opening up, all the way, the invaluable North Sea Oil!” He called the area “one of the Greatest Sources of quality Oil on Earth, has hundreds of years of Capacity left, with much not even found yet, and will make the United Kingdom, from a Poverty Stricken Disaster, to one of the Richest Countries anywhere in the World!”
“Britain pays Norway Billions of Dollars a year to buy its Oil, which they get from a less valuable part of the North Sea — How ridiculous is that!” he wrote. “Also, word is that the UK is going to move the old and horrible looking windmills, which loom over and destroy the City of Aberdeen. That will be a big day for the Country, and will be very much appreciated by everybody. Such great potential in the UK, but it all starts with OPENING NORTH SEA OIL. WE LOVE YOU SCOTLAND!”
Burnham was declared as Britain’s Labour Party head last week.
