Prayer

Pray for God’s Law To Drive Out Chaos

May we all in this moment of global conflict, fall on our knees and pray for the only solution to the evils that fall on man in times of war. Pray for the widows, the orphans, the sick, the unborn and all those who are defenseless. In these days of chaos and propaganda stand on the truth of God’s word and pray it.

“Learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.” Isaiah 1:17

Outside of traveling to join the conflict in the Ukraine, prayer might be the only thing you can do with hope right now. Unfortunately airports and shipping avenues are closed. Relief efforts are just now beginning to ramp up. We know supplies and funds will be required to restore this area and and the hands and feet of Christ will be needed in this land for years. However, right now, prayer is likely all you can do. It may not seem like you are doing much but it is the best thing you can do. Calling out to the Lord of creation is much better than any political or armed resolutions we desire.

Right now we can pray for 3 things:
1- Pray for the rule of law to return to humanity.
God richly blessed his people by giving us his law to rule over chaos. Nations founded on these rules prosper. While those who ignore these truths suffer. Like no time in the history of man, right now, we need the order of God’s laws to turn us from our wicked humanistic ways. Everyone will answer to God for their own sins. Wicked leaders who disregard their oaths, go against agreements, and seek to prosper from the suffering of the powerless will bring judgment upon themselves.

The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. When a land transgresses, it has many rulers, but with a man of understanding and knowledge, its stability will long continue. A poor man who oppresses the poor is a beating rain that leaves no food. Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law strive against them. Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand it completely.” Proverbs 28:1-5

2- Pray for people to come to Christ through this time of difficulty.
It ages past, revivals and returns to the ways of God have been birthed in the difficult times of war.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

3-Pray for the plan God promised.
God loves us and is always in control. Only in him do we have hope. He has always had a plan and none of the troubles of today are a surprise to him.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Have hope! War is a terrible thing and not to be wished on anyone. May the people in the Ukraine and all of humanity find peace and comfort in the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.
